Combining Fall Wheat. A new set of stock photos by Ernie Hunter Wheat, now cultivated worldwide, is the third most produced cereal crop after Maize and Rice. It is the leading source of vegetable protein in human food. Uses include food products like bread flours, animal feed and bio fuels. One of largest cash crops for farmers. Modern machinery has greatly improved production and harvesting making it less labour intensive and thus more profitable. Straw is now used, through a digester, to create electricity.
