<p>Jones Falls Locks 39-42 Rideau Canal. A new collection of stock images from Ernie Hunter. The lock system at Jones Falls comprises of three locks in flight, a turning basin and one detached lock. A 60 foot dam was built with stone blocks, hauled from a quarry six miles away, hand cut to fit so tight no mortar was needed. It still stands as it was built 181 years ago.
