New Photo Stock Images of Steam Engines and Tractors

Steam Engines and Tractors. A new set of stock photos by Ernie Hunter George White & Sons of London, J.I. Case of Racine, WI and Waterloo Manufacturing of Waterloo, ON were some of the major players in Steam Engines and later Steam Tractors from the late 1800's until around 1925. Steam Engines provided power for thrashing machines, saw mills and other machinery but horses were needed to move them. Steam traction engines were the answer. They could pull larger plows and tillage equipment than horses and provided belt power for many implements. View more stock photography from Ernie Hunter here.

Church stained glass windows - St Philip's Church, St Heliers. A new set of stock photos by David Guthrie The magnificent windows in the Anglican Church of St Philip, St Heliers, Auckland are worth a visit by anyone with an interest in church windows. Made by Greyfriars in London, the West window in particular is outstanding, being made of thick slab glass set in concrete and portraying the theme of the Te Deum. The windows in the Lady Chapel, excepting the one over the altar, have lost their luster as they are now enclosed by a lounge and so have limited natural light coming through them.
