Trumpet Vine Flowers (Campsis radicans). A new set of stock photos by Ernie Hunter Trumpet Vine (Campsis radicans) is a large and vigorous woody vine with large flamboyant trumpet-shaped flowers that are very attractive to Ruby Throated Hummingbirds. Vigorous vine puts out huge numbers of tendrils that grab onto every available surface and can become several inches in diameter. Large seed pods develop dry split and deliver hundreds of thin, brown, paper-like seeds. A perennial native to Southern Canada and much of the US. Reaching heights of 35 to 40 feet it can be invasive. View more stock photography from Ernie Hunter here.
