Allan Trappitt is a Travel and Wildlife Stock Photography based in Strathpeffer Ross-shire United Kingdom. When travelling, Allan likes to get a feeling for the place he's visiting. This may be through scenic beauty or the vibrancy of the place, capturing candid moments. "If I am shooting wildlife, capturing the character of the animal is so important and this I usually do through close-ups although group / action shots are equally important. My aim is for my photos to convey a meaning whether it be some leisure activity such as rowing on Lake Bled or observing prey as my photo of the watchful cheetah depicts". Allan is passionate about our natural environment and has always taken a keen interest in wildlife and environmental issues. "While travelling I have had the opportunity to see how the environment is handled by other countries. Observing different cultures, history and traditions can help see how the environment is or has been viewed through the ages". Having moved from film to digital photography Allan completed a diploma in Professional Photography run by the Institute of Photography. He haE travelled to many parts of Europe and the Caribbean taking photos which highlight these areas. His portfolio includes some wildlife shots some of which were taken in South Africa. "While living with beautiful landscapes / historic buildings around me it goes without saying that I make use of this opportunity to take photos.I have undertaken calendar work also".
