Lake Samsonvale.. A new set of stock photos by Ian Hallmond Lake Samsonvale is an artificial lake created by the damming of the North Pine River. The lake is situated to the north west of Brisbane and covers an area of 2,200ha. Surrounding the edge of the lake is a mixture of eucalypt and woodland species such as Morton Bay Ash, Grey Iron bark, Swamp she-oak, White bottle brush, Swamp paperbark, and leopald and Cotton trees.
