Featured Photographer: Carol Buchanan. Natural History & Underwater Photography

Carol Buchanan is a Natural History & Underwater Photography based in Toormina NSW Australia. Carol specialises in natural history photography, especially underwater and macro. Carol also shoots sports, landscape and people images. Carols images are taken in Australia and the Solomon Islands and are shot on 35mm professional transparency film stock, or more recently, by a 12.8mp digital SLR. All images are available as hi res files to 50mb or larger. Carol has many thousands of images not currently on this site, so please feel free to contact her with any specific request.

Carol has been SCUBA diving and taking underwater images for over 30 years. Above water, she enjoys shooting frogs, insects and all natural history subjects as well as landscapes,sports and people images. Carol is a Fellow of the Australian Photographic Society and judge to international level. Her imagery has been licenced for a diverse range of uses such as: advertising for an international car manufacturer, a major Australian bank brochure, books, magazines, newspapers and calendars - both covers and inside use, websites, general advertising and scientific publications.
