Featured Photographer: Dave Underwood. Travel Culture Photojournalism Photography

Dave Underwood is a Travel Culture Photojournalist based in Australia As a travel photojournalist based in Adelaide, South Australia, Dave's work focuses on journeys undertaken in sympathy with the environment; the feeling of exploring with minimal impact and maximum mutual benefit.Travel is a life experience, an education, and his photo stock images seek to depict the personal wonder of discovery. From rainforest to reef, from urban sprawl to outback wilderness, his stock library showcases our planet for what it is: a celebration of culture, colour and learning.

Bored with the treadmill of capitalism and careers, Dave is looking for something more spiritual these days. Photojournalism is his passion and whilst travelling and preparing submissions takes much of his time, he will admit a weakness for red wine, enjoy playing almost any competitive sport and loves a good party. "My wife is my best friend -- has been for 30 years -- and we both like people and animals, although sometimes I reckon the animals are winning!"

Professional Information Technologist (30 years); award-winning Freelance Travel Photojournalist (8 years); widely published in Australia and overseas. Digital is now my chosen medium and I use Nikon scanners and Adobe Photoshop as my digital darkroom, supplemented by Epson photo printers. Blessed with the travel chromosome and a thirst for exploring, Im never short of a story idea, providing comprehensive and unique travel literature and photographic solutions to a range of clients.

Dave joined GlobalEye back in January 2004 and currently has over 1500  Travel Culture Photojournalism photo stock images listed in the Global Eye catalog. You can view Dave's Portfolio here or browse his Travel Culture Photojournalism Photography website here.
