A new set of stock photos by Stephan Hinni Green Iguanas or Common Iguanas (Iguana iguana) are among the largest lizards in the Americas, averaging around 2 meters (6.5 feet) long and weighing about 9 kilograms (20 pounds). The green iguana's extensive area include the rain forests of northern Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean Islands, and southern Brazil. They spend most of their lives in the trees near water. Iris Display Gardens. A new set of stock photos by Lawrence Lindstrand The images portrayed here were all taken at Schreiners Iris Garden, near Salem Oregon. The display garden encompases about 10 acres and includes a wide variety of colors and sizes. It had rained the night before so there are natural water droplets on all of the flowers. During the last ice age glaciers split leaving this area near the Mississippi in great contrast to the surrounding flat prairie land. This area is sometimes referred to as the Paleozoic Plateau.
